My Goal

My goal with this book/blog isn’t exactly to change your life, but I would hope that readers might come away with a marginally new and improved way of seeing the word.

I see this less as a process and more as a journey towards self discovery.  Re-invention is a cool way of finding a new you inside the old you. - it’s like a birthday present to yourself. “Oh my - has this new me always been inside the old me?  Why didn’t you say something so I knew you were there?

Of course the new me’s inside you are always trying to get your attention, but their messages are unintelligible to those who live by distraction.  So that’s why I don’t want this book just to become another distraction.  I want it to be a catalyst for considered thought.  My goal is to perplex, in the hopes that if you get sufficiently perplexed you might sit awhile in some quiet place and try to figure things out.

That’s what I’m doing - trying to make sense of it all.  No more same ole same ole.  Sooner or later I as I continue peel away all my old psychological skins and discover more and more “new me’s”  I hope to find the one that’s the real me.  That in sum and substance is the entire object of this creative exercise - as well it should be at least a tangential object of all creative exercises.
