The Thought Conditioners

So, my way of thinking seldom dovetails with the conventional wisdom because I haven’t been conditioned by the thought conditioners to think like most people.  I tend to get most of my information from real people who have real stories to tell rather than from talking heads, advertising wizards or corporate PR flacks.  To me, the conventional wisdom is mostly petty stupid. With my emerging online identity as the Rogue Driver, I fear I may be taking a step backward on the path towards semi-importance.  Rogues are generally not highly regarded people when it comes to semi-importance.  One step backward … two steps forward … that’s how it goes.

The few people who really know me well might be surprised by the word “Rogue” in my self generated moniker.  One generally doesn’t associate the word rogue with Harvard graduates - though there probably should be more of it. I’ve manage to conceal my double degrees from Harvard BA and MBA from most passengers.  It’s not that I’m hiding it.  It’s just not relevant to what I’m doing.  Few are aware that this old dude who just seems to show up everywhere - in his Volvo XC V70 aka . the Brown Bronco is actually a human being with all kinds of stuff inside.  So tap your app with a measure of curiosity -  and there I am in a few minutes – at sporting events, bars, restaurants concerts, fairs, lectures and conferences.  I’ll even show up right at your doorstep. But do any of you really know me?  Do you know your waiter, or your hostesss or you’re tech support gal on the other end of the line.  Would you be surprise to know that one of us could have chosen almost any path down the golden road?  But somewhere in my travels, success to me came to take on a meaning that seldom enters the mind of most who travel down that road.
